From its inception in 1964, Southern Hills has been passionate about missions. In our first business meeting, our church family committed to give 12% of the church-wide budget towards missions. From 1964 to today, Southern Hills remains a local body of believers in South Oklahoma City devoted to giving, praying, and going across the street and around the world to make disciples and share the love of Jesus.
World Missions Offering
The Cooperative Program is the Southern Baptist method of supporting mission efforts. 12% of every dollar given is forwarded to the Cooperative Program. In addition to CP giving, Southern Hills takes up a World Missions Offering. The World Missions Offering is used to support the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, and our own mission efforts here at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
Mission Trips
Southern Hills sends multiple national and international teams out every year on short-term mission trips. Whether you are considering your very first mission trip or exploring a call from God to serve as a lifelong missionary, we would love for you to be a part of one of these teams!
